Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Well, it's been a year.  A year since you were born.  A year since we had a really good night's sleep.  A year since a trip to the store meant one car seat.  A year since our family was just the 'four of us' (yes, I include Titus)  A year since all mommy worried about was Thomas The Train and Lego Blocks.

A year since Nathan stopped referring to you as 'Tza Tza' and as 'my baby sister.'  A years since he held you in his arms for the first time.  A year since he started to learn to share his toys...an hour since he pulled one out of your hands.

A year.  Nathan still likes to hold you.  A year.  He still protects you.  A year.

A year since Melissa could say that she has a daughter.  A year since I could call you my own.  A year.

A year of firsts.  First words...first foods...first friends...first smiles and first tears (for you and daddy)

A year.  A year-long battle to help you grow.  A moment of tears as I held you as they drew your blood.  A year-long battle of hearing how small you are...don't be in a hurry to grow-up

A year of smiles, laughter and tears.  A year---365 days TODAY!  Happy Birthday Kristen!  And may the next year bring another round of smiles, laughter, and even some tears.  A year....
