Reading Is Fun!!! At Least My Revised Versions Are.

We've started to read more to Nathan during the day. Since everyone was asked to bring their favorite book to one of Melissa's baby showers, we have a plethora of them.

We've got all of your favorites, Lassie,the Spot books, Yogi Bear, The Three Bears....you get my point. The only problem is that when I read them to Nathan, the classic story lines disappear and I insert my own endings.

For example, did you know that at the end of The Three Bears, Baby Bear devours Goldilocks in a scene reminiscent of a Freddy the Kruger movie. In my version, Lassie falls down the well and his skeletal remains are found years later. In the Poky Little Puppy, the puppy constantly digs under a fence and escapes. In my version, the owner quickly tires of this, trains the Poky Little Puppy to fight, and sells him to Michael Vick.

I hope this doesn't stunt my child's growth.
